The Aviary (5.02 acres, £83,000) This is a lovely woodland with a real sense of seclusion and privacy, with a well-stocked lofty canopy consisting of birch, field maple, willow, hawthorn and ash. In the understorey below is a wonderfully wild display of hazel coppice, thorn and natural regeneration - providing a natural, private screening. Here you will find magnificent oak standards along with hornbeam and ash. A number of the oak are of high quality and could potentially be used for a range of uses - decorative beams or furniture come to mind. Below is hazel coppice, hawthorn and areas of regenerating ash and hornbeam. Both the western and eastern boundaries are stock-fenced, offering some seclusion within. The generally open ground layer is a perfect setting for camping and bushcraft activities - there is ample material close by for this. Woodland wildlife is in abundance here - mammals include roe and muntjac deer, hare, badger, and fox. After dusk, you will likely spot common pipistrelle bats darting among the trees. Woodlark, nightingale, kestrel, little owl and numerous congenial songsters make up the remaining visitors to the area. The access track marked ABC on the plan forms part of the Land Registry title of Old Coppice Wood.
