We’ve spent countless mornings out there with coffee and long summer evenings having BBQs with friends. The location has been a real gift. Walthamstow Wetlands and the Marshes are on the doorstep for walks and cycles, and you quickly forget how close you are to central London. Transport links are excellent, so commuting has never been a chore. There’s a brilliant run of independent cafés and restaurants nearby (Beaten by a Whisker is our favourite) and the Blackhorse Beer Mile is a short stroll away for a weekend afternoon. It’s also a great spot for families, with several good primary schools nearby and the area’s top-choice secondary within easy reach. We’ve put real care into the flat over the years, most recently with a new kitchen and bathroom and full redecoration, and it’s been a lovely place to come home to. We’re only moving because our family needs more space, otherwise we’d happily stay!
