China Wharf is one of architect Piers Gough's most notable buildings. In the mid-80s Piers was commissioned to design a building to sit in between two listed Victorian warehouses and provide contrast. Grade II listed China Wharf is now an iconic image on the Tower Bridge waterfront and with its abundance of glass, and position right on the water, the apartments have outstanding river views.
This is a duplex, entered on the third floor which has an en-suite master bedroom, a second bedroom and a shower room. Both bedrooms have a quiet aspect over Mill Street. A staircase then ascends to the fourth floor which comprises a landing and a wonderful glass-fronted reception space with open-plan kitchen. The balcony hangs right over the river and with coffee in hand, it is a great place to watch the sun rise over Canary Wharf.
China Wharf is part of the New Concordia development which provides a very nice swimming pool and a resident building manager.
The apartment is currently offered unfurnished.
