My current pad mate is moving out end of July as sheâs moving back home to Sheffield so Iâd be looking for someone to take over from her early - mid August. Iâm a bit flexible on the move in date and donât mind having a little gap (within reason) plus Iâm looking for someone I can genuinely get on with so need to pick carefully. Iâm an easy going guy so will get on with anyone who isnât a weirdo or a scruff lol Also worth noting I have a VERY friendly Chihuahua called Desmond so you MUST be ok with dogs! ð¶ - obviously heâs my responsibility so I donât expect you to feed/walk him or anything. âï¸ The important bit â pad mate etiquette: âï¸ Spoiler alert: Most of this is basic flat mate etiquette and if you donât already know what that is then itâs probably not for you. Tattoo this to the inside of your eyelids if you have to because this is literally the most important thing you will ever readâ¦. ever! 𧽠1. Cleanliness - This is extremely important to me. Iâm a very house proud person and want the flat to be clean and tidy at all times and if youâre not the same then weâre definitely not gonna get on. You need to make an equal contribution as I do to keeping the place clean and tidy and that includes ALL areas outside of your bedroom. ð° 2. Pay your rent on time - If you choose to live life on the edge (payday to payday) and donât keep money aside for basic necessities such as paying your rent on time then thatâs on you but lifeâs too short to spend it chasing you for rent so please donât be that guy! ð¦ 3. Your stuff & my stuff - yes, thereâs a distinction! I buy my food, my drink and my personal effects for me, not for you - thereâs a co-op next door so if Iâve got something in the fridge that takes your fancy then feel free to go and buy your own and Iâll do the same. ð 4. Communication - Iâm super approachable so if I have any annoying habits that annoy you then tell me and vice versa. ðð» 5. Notice - Ideally Iâm looking for someone I can live with long term however youâre free to leave whenever just as Iâm free to ask you to leave whenever. If this happens though, Iâll give you a minimum of a months notice and would appreciate if you can do the same.
