About this listing

Charming coastal cottage with stunning sea views and 1.7 acres Description Finished with a sophisticated yet understated coastal aesthetic, Cove Cottage offers beautifully presented accommodation designed to make the most of its exceptional setting. The welcoming open plan sitting and dining room is centred around a wood-burning stove and opens onto a south-east facing terrace, creating a seamless connection between inside and out. A well-appointed shower room and utility room sit to the rear, while the contemporary galley kitchen, fitted with sleek white cabinetry and contrasting dark worktops, enjoys glimpses of the sea. Beyond lies a stunning vaulted garden room, where floor-to-ceiling glazing and French doors frame breathtaking coastal views and flood the space with natural light. On the first floor are three bedrooms, including a principal bedroom with magnificent sea views, together with a family bathroom and useful storage. Outside, a slate-flagged terrace wraps around the south and east elevations, providing sheltered seating areas and wonderful vantage points from which to enjoy the spectacular coastal outlook and evening sunsets. The gardens descend through a series of attractive terraced lawns to a paddock below, creating a rare sense of space and privacy. At the lower end of the grounds is a substantial south-west facing fisherman’s shed, ideal for the storage of kayaks and other recreational equipment, with gated access leading towards the slipway path. The building has previously benefited from planning permission for conversion to a studio, presenting an exciting opportunity for future enhancement, subject to any necessary consents. Location Perched on one of Cornwall’s most westerly headlands, Cove Cottage enjoys spectacular Atlantic views within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, conservation area and UNESCO World Heritage Site. Surrounded by National Trust land, Cape Cornwall is renowned for its wildlife, with regular sightings of dolphins, whales, basking sharks, gannets and peregrine falcons. Nearby are Priest’s Cove, a traditional fishing harbour with a seawater pool, and Porthledden Bay, known for its rock pools and surf. The South West Coast Path links the Cape to stunning coastal scenery, historic mining landmarks and renowned beaches. Just a mile away, St Just offers a thriving community, independent shops, cafés, pubs, galleries and essential amenities. West Penwith is famed for its dramatic landscapes, excellent restaurants and convenient transport links via Penzance rail station and Newquay Airport.
