Big double room in a warm home shared with the landlord - me! - a recently retired journalist, charities communications manager and environmental activist. Plus a very friendly cat. The house is in one of Bristol's multi-coloured terraces, in a quiet cul-de-sac that backs onto leafy Greville Smyth Park, with riverside walks 7 mins away, and walks and running in Ashton Court Estate 10 mins away. The lively shops, bars, theatre and market on North Street are 5 mins up the road. It's a 10 min cycle (or 25 min walk) over the river into the city centre. Parsons Street train station is 15 mins walk, and it's a 20 minute cycle to Bristol University. There are 3 bedrooms in the house (the 3rd is my study which doubles as an occasional guest room). One shared bathroom, a kitchen-dining room (large shared fridge, and your own cupboard), a comfortable living room, utility room, and sunny front and back gardens. There's secure bike storage in the back garden. We would live independently but it may be enjoyable to share a meal occasionally (or regularly), and occasionally watch a movie or play Scrabble. The double room is for single occupancy only. Occasional overnight guests may be welcomed, by agreement (and with a small contribution to household costs). You would be my fourth long-term house-sharer: my previous tenants have been professionals aged 30+ or graduate students and we remain in touch. I would prefer an in-person meeting and viewing.
